Russian Railways CEO files suit vs The New York Times

MOSCOW, Jan 26 (PRIME) -- Vladimir Yakunin, CEO of Russian Railways, has filed a defamation suit against The New York Times, a representative for Moscow’s Presnensky Court told PRIME on Monday.

“Proceedings on Yakunin’s defamation suit have started, the hearing is scheduled for February 19,” the representative said.

The suit contains no financial demands, Yakunin only wants the daily to deny allegations that Yakunin “is charged with violations of law,” the representative added without elaborating.
